The Manilla sub branch held a Friday meeting with many attendees. They approved a donation of £5 5s 0d to the Northcott Centre and noted Centre expenses at £185 weekly. Anzac Ball plans were endorsed with two orchestras and eight debutantes. A working bee is set for April 19 at the cemetery and Tin Hats sales run April 24. A dawn service is planned for April 25 and Governor Sir John Northcott visits May 1. A coronation night gathering is planned for June 2 with a special meeting on April 22. farewell to committeeman R. W. Perks was noted.

Mission to Nation in Australia by Methodist Church
The Australian Methodist Church launches a six month Mission to the Nation from April to September with Rev. Allan Walker as special Missioner. He will tour capitals and large towns, aided by other speakers and a 55 station interstate radio network broadcasting drama and sermons. The NSW main station is 2GB on Tuesdays at 8 30 pm.

North Tamworth dominates home football as all grades lose
North Tamworth overwhelmed the home side with a 30 to 4 win in the firsts, 21 to 5 in the seconds, and 28 to 0 in the thirds. Notable players include Lloyd Russell leading the visitors, Allan Wright at 5/8, Green Goldman Dennis McDermott Hoson for North, while Manilla’s J Browning kicked two goals.
