Seventh Annual Confederate Reunion Planned for Pensacola
Major General William H. Jewell issues General Order No. 5 announcing the seventeenth Florida Division reunion at Pensacola on October 23 and 24. Camps must be represented with delegates, dues must be current, and new Clark Camp No. 1652 is organized at Blountstown. Railroad rates and return tickets are listed, with invitations to United and Sons of Confederate Veterans and Daughters of the Confederacy. Also notes honored guests and sponsors, plus press cooperation and preparations. An unrelated Humane Appeal promotes Dr King’s New Discovery for lung ailments with endorsements from A. D. Williams of Richmond Indiana.
