Real Estate Offer In Manatee County Abounds

Parrish Lodge of Masons Instituted and Officers Installed

Parrish Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons, was instituted and its officers installed last Friday by District Deputy Grand Master 8S. E. Curry. Attending were Masons from Manatee, Bradenton and Palmetto who assisted in the ceremonies. The lodge has operated under a dispensation and now boasts a strong membership of respected local citizens. Martha Washington Tea Teems With Town Support

Elysian Club held a Martha Washington Tea at Gates Hall in celebration of Washington's birthday. Nearly the whole town attended and the event raised over $50 to replenish the club treasury and fund a schoolyard fence project.

Sheriff Wyatt Visits Tampa and Braden Town

Sheriff Hans Wyatt of Manatee county visited Tampa yesterday and was hosted by Sheriff Jackson. He returned to Braden town with W. E. Collins and Henry Justice, both accused of larceny and gambling. Wyatt notes a record celery yield and local prosperity.

The Manatee ice factory will be rebuilt on the old site after debris clearance began Monday. Construction will start soon with machinery ordered and installation to begin, aiming for early summer operation.

Appointment of Nettles blocked by disqualification

The law bars J. W. Nettles Jr from being county treasurer as he also serves as Manatee county registration officer. Governor Broward offered the post to Frank A. Walpole of The Record, who declined then accepted a later offer. The Record’s editor and D E C chair Charles T. Curry backed Nettles. A short notice also promotes full blooded Black Minorcan eggs and a few chicks from S. E. Pulliam in Manatee.
