Funeral of J. W. Nettles in Manatee County
The funeral of J. W. Nettles was held Thursday at 2 p.m. under the auspices of Manatee county Masonic bodies. It drew one of the largest crowds in the county’s history, with friends from across the area paying tribute. The Palmetto lodge directed the service with help from other local lodges, honoring Nettles long service as Palmetto lodge secretary for over fifteen years. His remains were interred at Palmetto cemetery awaiting the resurrection morn.
