The judge repudiates a Tallahassee Sun article alleging a conspiracy with Peter Knight and W F Stovall to bring L Engle to Manatee County to face charges. He asserts no messages were received and labels any accuser a worst type liar.
The Record declines comment on L Engle cases, defends courts, and distances itself from The Sun conspiracy tale. It notes telegrams alleged by Peter Knight and Wallace Stovall lack corroboration and asserts Judge Stewart and Sheriff Wyatt did not receive any messages.
Sheriff Wyatt vociferously denies any contact with Mr. Stovall regarding the LEngle affair and refutes a Tallahassee trip with deputies. He calls the Sun story wholly false and asserts no deputies accompanied him.
Mrs. Octavia Glazier Moore wife of George Moore dies after confinement complications following a brief illness. A lifelong Manatee resident and Methodist, she is mourned by a devoted husband, father H. T. Glazier, and brother. Funeral held at the Methodist church with Rev. Norton and Rev. Gates, burial at the new cemetery.
O G Higbee of Danville Illinois reports two years of rheumatism and says Ballards Snow Liniment cured him in four months then recommended it. Advertises prices 25c 50c and 1 00 sold by J M Samuel druggist.
An elderly man enjoys his new hammerless gun while Alfred pressures his daughter for a kiss. She refuses but relents after a threat, prompting Alfred to flee by breaking through a window. The next day he retrieves his hat left in the hall.

A carload of International Harvester gasoline engines with pumps arrived at Ellenton this week for distribution to fruit and truck growers along the line to Sarasota. Col. Joe Gates, described as the gentleman of elephant fame, is the agent for these engines and available to supply the real equipment.
