Stetson student injured by fast baseball strike
Chas. E. Pelot, a Stetson University student at DeLand, was seriously hurt when a ball hit by a batter struck him under the left eye. The impact crushed the cheek bone and bruised his face, leaving him unconscious for over half an hour. He traveled to Manatee then to Atlanta for an operation.

Christmas Orphans Found Living In Bronx House
Three brothers Michael fifteen William thirteen and James seven live in a derelict Bronx house near the Catholic Protectory with a sixth week old Christmas tree after their father John Marion vanished and their mother was sent to a Sullivan County sanitarium. Agents of the Children's Society found them cold hungry and unkempt. They were arraigned in the children's court then sheltered and fed by society staff.
