Christmas goods arriving at Wiggins and Manatee Racket Store as the town spruces up. Mrs. Thorp and Miss Hart visit, winter guests arrive, and locals discuss fertilizer sales, cement, and wagon parts. A derailment on the Bradenton spur interrupts travel briefly. Masonic and social gatherings keep residents active ahead of the holidays.
Doings in Manatee County include teas and coffees at Wiggins, fresh preserves by Austin Nichols at Wiggins, and gates with a new International Harvester 3 hp engine for irrigating a truck farm and orange grove. Also listings for a steam tug for river work and fertilizer for seed beds, plus a church report from the Manatee church. Captain Chas Morrow fell ill on a Tampa to Sarasota run but continued his trip.
At Wiggins' a wide selection of guns rifles and shells is advertised with emphasis on low cash prices and variety for buyers seeking firearms and ammunition.
