Parker Farm Trailer Moves and Local Social Notes

Wesley News reports Dwight Parker sold his trailer to Mr. Fleet and moved it to the parsonage yard. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Parker plan a vacation to Yellowstone and the Dakotas, starting Wednesday. Rev and Mrs Clement Rowes attended a ministers picnic at Kiwanis Point in Council Bluffs. Sherry Rowe and Doris Morris hosted a slumber party with Carol Agell and Bonnie Stefford attending. Kathleen Deitchler underwent appendicitis surgery at Mercy Hospital then returned home. Carol traveled to Ames to start college freshman year, while Karen Deitcher prepared for her second year at Studies in Ames.

Wesley Chapel to Have Guest Day

Plans completed for Guest Day on September 17 at 2 PM at Wesley Chapel Church. Stella Lisle will review the book Dear and Glorious Physician by Taylor Caldwell. Nearby residents and church members attended Sunday School events and visited relatives in Omaha and Lincoln during Labor Day weekend.

Wilson Ridlen Reunion Draws Fifties Attendees

The annual Wilson Ridlen reunion hosted by Mr. and Mrs. John Wilson drew 54 attendees from Ida Grove Coin Council Bluffs Hancock Des Moines and Chicago. Guests included Dwight Parker who left for Wichita Kan to resume studies at the university. Several local families shared visits and dinner gatherings over the weekend with church activities and a Farm Bureau event noted.

Mr and Mrs Edwin McGrew attended the state fair in Lincoln Sunday. Mrs Ben Wilson joined the Family Living Committee at Mrs Harold Skerritt s Silver City home Tuesday afternoon. Park Plumb stayed with grandparents Mr and Mrs Marion Plumb during his parents absence. Mr and Mrs Faye Butterfield attended the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines Wednesday and Nebraska State Fair in Lincoln Tuesday.

Randolph Business Women plan child parade during Fall Festival

The Randolph Business Women's club schedules a children's parade on Main Street for the annual Fall Festival Saturday September 26. The theme is Song Titles and features three sections for preschoolers, kindergarten, and first and second grades.

Malvern Leader Adverts Youth Parade Prizes and Fun

The notice invites local youngsters to join a parade with prize divisions for grades one through eight. Prizes are five dollars for first, three for second, and two for third.
