About 30 Malvern agers traveled to Thurman on October 4 to join senior citizens from Tabor Sidney Randolph Thurman and Hamburg for a potluck. A large crowd enjoyed the event with birthday celebrations for Lottie Rose Alma Aknop. Edwin Meyer thanked the cake makers.

Craft Carnival at Glenwood Oct 27
A Craft Carnival featuring local craftsmen and exhibitors from Griswold Red Oak Omaha and surrounding area will be at the National Guard Armory Glenwood Thursday Oct 27 from 1 to 8 p.m. The Mills County Extension Home Economics Committee sponsors the event with Barbara Buffington stating Extension Home Economist. A small admission is charged residents of nursing homes and students attend free. Coffee and decorated cupcakes will be sold during carnival hours by committee members.

Spooks and goblins visited Nishna Cottage last Wednesday night as Mills County Al together group hosted a cheerful event with two favorite witches. Residents shared hikes, picnics, and sightings of deer and a snake while planning Christmas gift making and community activities. Dorothy Lavon Eblen will teach Learn-A-Craft-Wood at Mills County State Bank on November 2 from 1 to 3 pm, sponsored by the Mills County Extension Home Economists Committee. a hammer is not provided and a $1 fee is charged.
