June Henry Wise died after a brief illness in Council Bluffs on October 17 1901 at age 49 years nine months twelve days. He was born on a farm near Silver City January 6 1912 and educated in local schools. He married Geneva Richardson in 1931 and had three daughters. He lived on Mills county farms and served in church and farm groups, joining Glenwood First Baptist in 1942.
Hillsdale residents heard a message on The Ministry of Healing by Dr. Lloyd H. Leicester, with Harvest Home Day prompting Sept 29 worship at Silver City Church. Abs Opal Herring from Rock Port, visiting Hillsdale, was hospitalized with pneumonia but improving at Hamburg Hospital. The week featured Stewardship plans, a film at the church, and many social visits among locals, including family gatherings, outings, and a funeral in Glenwood. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Jackson attended their son Edward's wedding in Elgin, while others visited relatives across Hillsdale and nearby towns.

Surviving relatives include his mother Olive Andrews and wife Geneva Wise of Glenwood, plus in law relatives and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held October 21 at the First Baptist church in Glenwood with arrangements and pallbearers listed and interment at East Liberty cemetery.
