Jolly Janes Aid Raises Funds For New Church

Donors from the Jolly Janes group collected corn donations and proceeds at Frank Olson farm on Thursday afternoon to furnish the new church. Mrs. Hut and Mrs. Gleason served. offering totaled 15.17 dollars. A cradle roll program featured poems and gifts for six children read by Janet Warren. The choir performed at the event and other community members visited and celebrated various occasions, including anniversaries and birthdays, amid social gatherings across the town.

A local 4 H club meeting at the Methodist Church in Silver City featured a talk by Pieter Maree Fender and a social period with refreshments.
