His Car Hits Pole Bluffs Man Uninjured
William Livengood of Council Bluffs escaped injury when his 1964 Ford struck a telephone pole two miles east of Glenwood after losing control on Highway 275 34. The crash caused $1,000 in damage. The sheriff's office notes the incident occurred Tuesday afternoon.

The interior hog market shows 1954 as a reference point with $25 hogs reported and prices falling from summer highs to about $21.75 to $22.75 in early October. It is anticipated that late fall lows may be near $18.50 to $19.50, still above last year. Prices are expected to stay above year-earlier levels for much of 1966, with possible dips to around $16 hogs by November or December.

Iowa State University economist Gene Futrell forecasts a favorable yet slower hog price rise through 1966. Farrowings have fallen 10-12 percent across the Corn Belt in late 1965, with December-February demand unchanged. Marketings are expected to decline, prices edging up from about 19 dollars in April to 21.50 or more by June as the cyclical downtrend ends.
