Mrs Donald Macrae of Council Bluffs Iowa a leader of The American Legion Auxiliary is a candidate for national president at the Kansas City convention November 1 and 2 She and her supporters say her rise has boosted Iowa Auxiliary units to 314 with over 14000 members and her advocacy drew wide backing from veterans groups in several states She is married to Colonel Donald Macrae a WWI officer and has two sons in the service.

Elizabeth Ann McFall Reynolds born February 20 1853 in Indiana. Married Jesse D Reynolds at age 22. they settled in Mills County. Survived by eight children eight grandchildren six sisters three brothers and six siblings in law. Funeral conducted by Rev BE L Spiller at daughter’s home with interment at Hast Liberty Cemetery.

Phelps Woods Tie the Knot in October Wedding
Miss June Woods and Maurice R. Phelps wed Saturday afternoon October 15 at 3 pm in the bride’s home with immediate family present. The event also marked the bride’s parents’ 25th wedding anniversary. Rev G T Roberty officiated the ring ceremony as Jane Godsey sang O Promise Me. The couple will reside in Sweat City after November 1 where Phelps teaches mathematics and coaches at Swea City high school.
