Hunt Boyce Repeat Marriage Vows Sept 25

Everett Knops host a Thursday evening gathering

About 55 guests attended a get-together at Mr. and Mrs. Everett Knop's home on Thursday evening. The group previously attempted a charivari two weeks earlier but found no one home. this week the charivariers succeeded without the hosts. Attendees included Joe Copperstone and many Knop family members plus friends. The Malvern Garden Club plans a meeting on Tuesday October 12 at 2:30 PM at Mrs. Charlotte Ruse's home.

Westminster Youth Fellowship Meeting At Blackburn Home

Westminster Youth Fellowship met October 3 at the home of Bill and Michael Blackburn with 11 members present. A brief business session followed. plans were set for a harvest bake sale on October 30. Jan Costell led the program and refreshments were served by Mrs. Blackburn.

Last Thursday evening about 25 relatives and friends gathered at Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Brammer’s home in Carson to honor R L Bun Laughlin on his 72nd birthday. The event featured a pot-luck supper, gift opening, and an evening of ecards and visiting. Attendees included Mrs. Marjorie Cozad and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Brammer and daughter, the Dallas Laughlin family, and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Peterson and son.

Miss Elaine Riley Engaged to Rob Hill

Large Crowd Attends Farm Bureau Church Music Night

A very large crowd filled the Malvern Baptist church for the annual Farm Bureau county church music night. About 12 churches were represented by choirs, soloists, and instrumentalists with performances by Pacific Junction Methodist, St. John's Lutheran, Hastings Methodist, and others. refreshments followed.
