The Methodist church social began at 1 30 pm with a festive table arrangement of firs and leaves. Hostesses included Mrs Eula Ellison Mrs Robert Campbell and Mrs Wm Blackburn. The next meeting is Dec 4 with hostesses Mrs Geo Mort Mrs Gale Cronkhite and Mrs Warren Darrah. A pot luck Christmas luncheon and a $1 gift exchange will follow at Mrs Ralph Bowers home. The LIN Club met at Mrs. J M Steele’s home on Wednesday afternoon November 3. Members wore hats and shared something about theirs while playing Thanksgiving themed pencil games. The Malvern 39ers Senior Citizen Club hosted a Thanksgiving dinner with 52 members at the Community building. The meal featured turkey dressing potatoes and gravy with hot rolls provided by Nishna Cottage and other members supplying the rest. Cards and bingo followed the meal.
