WSCS Completes Plans For Dinner and Bazaar

The WSCS met at the church with twelve members present. Mrs Rose Brazelton and Mrs Helen McQuarr led devotions and scripture reading. A letter from Mrs J R Hall of Malvern invited WSCS to their Christmas Fair Dee and plans were finalized for the Bazaar and dinner.

Upholstery Workshop Offered for Homemakers Various Dates

A local office invites readers to reserve a seat in an upholstery workshop starting early January with three sessions weekly. Four or five chairs will be recovered and about 15 men and women will gain experience working on these pieces. Skillet meal lessons are scheduled at 1:30 p.m. in Malvern on November 13 Glenwood November 17 and Emerson November 20. Every homemaker is welcome.

Dobbins Sparks Exchange Vows in Red Oak Ceremony

Miss Charlene Dobbins and Harold Sparks were married by a justice of the peace in Red Oak on a Saturday in October. Attendants included Ben Vanderpool Caroline Freeze and Marlene Dobbins. The couple now reside in San Diego where Sparks works for a Dahia Builders Construction Co. The Dobbins family received a long distance call of the wedding news.

Rodney Dean Crawford, five, fell from his bunk bed Thursday evening, cutting his forehead. he received eight stitches at Red Oak hospital and is healing. Mia Wayne Johnson and son Allan Wayne of Grand Island were weekend guests at Bernard Mabbitt’s home.
