Malvern High School held its annual commencement at the Baptist Church with a 15 member class. Four graduates delivered orations, the High School Girls Glee Club and a new High School Orchestra provided music, and A. J. Conner praised the schools and discussed consolidation plans. Norman Kline enlisted and was at Port Logan. Miss Alice Dilley received praise for her leadership.

Tragic Death Of Young Russell Davis In Malvern
Russell Eewin Davis, five, son of Mr and Mrs George Davis, died after grabbing a live transmission wire near a mill pole in Malvern. Bystanders and workers acted quickly but electricity, estimated at 2300 volts, caused instantaneous death. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Christian church with burial in Malvern cemetery. the community offers condolences to the bereaved family.
