Death of Mrs Warren Chantry in Perkins Oklahoma
Mrs Warren Chantry longtime local resident died at home in Perkins Oklahoma on May 17 after a long illness. Col A J Chantry and son A L Chantry visited from nearby and conveyed messages from friends. The obituary notes born Alberta Follett February 2 1868 in Malvern Iowa, married Warren Chantry June 18 1891 and later moved to Perkins. Funeral was held at the family home with services at Malvern cemetery conducted by Rev M A Gable.

Ranne Will Case Affirmed by Supreme Court
Attorney A K Cook received notice last Thursday that the Supreme Court affirmed the lower court ruling setting aside the will of Henry Ranne. The case involved a large share of Mr Ranne’s fortune to his wife and her daughter Nora Wedges, with disputes over children’s shares. Dr Donald Macrae of Council Bluffs urged urgency for hospital aid and YMCA CO A work for service members. Membership pledges totaled 146 with about 250 dollars in cash. aim is 500 members and greater funds. A follow up meeting is set for Friday at the Commercial Club rooms to finalize organization.

Fred Bishops New Home Ded icated
The recently completed new home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bishop a mile and a half west of Glenwood hosted a large gathering on Sunday May 13. Friends and relatives arrived by auto and buggy bearing baskets for a bountiful meal. After dinner music both vocal and instrumental filled the afternoon with patriotic tunes. The Bishops lost their previous home to a February fire and have since built this modern house on the burned site. Attendees included families from Glenwood and nearby areas, with many sharing in the joyful reception and memory of the occasion.
