Final Meeting of Year Held for S. C. Woman's Club

The S. C. Woman's Club held its final meeting of the year at Mrs Agnes Vass's home last Tuesday afternoon with help from Mrs Talot Skerritt and Mrs A F Childs. Members shared preferred yearly programs during roll call, bingo was played, and Mrs Glen Bryant led the program by demonstrating cake decorating on a small flat cake crowned with pink roses and green leaves presented to Mrs Herman Schoening for her birthday.

Vacation Church School Set To Begin At Silver City

Silver City Baptist Church and Silver City Methodist Church announce Vacation Church School from June 29 to July 9, 9 to 11:30 a m daily. Open to all school age children with John Swarts directing and Phyllis Skerritt serving as superintendent. Choir and worship services listed, with Sunday School at 10 a m and Morning Worship at 11 a m.

Charter Members Honored At Eastern Star Meeting

The regular Eastern Star meeting at the Masonic temple May 17 honored charter members and the oldest and youngest members. Memorial services preceded the opening, with musical numbers by Denise Ord, Janette Madison, Willa Pullman, and Phyllis Adair. Several attendees traveled from nearby towns, with reports of ill health and visits to Mercy hospital in Council Bluffs.

Baptist Ladies' Kensington Meeting Change Announced

The Baptist Ladies Kensington will meet with Mrs Reno Moore Thursday afternoon June 1 instead of with Mrs Cliff Stewart as planned. Co hosts will be Mrs James Hendrix and Mrs W A Hafer, Mr and Mrs Gene Buffington and Beverly and Dianne hosted supper guests Saturday night. Mrs Warren Carr of Glenwood was a dinner guest of her aunt Alta Schoening last Tuesday.
