Young hatch in ten days and fledge in twelve. The bird eats caterpillars, wasps, ants, beetles, plant lice, moths, grasshoppers, flies, and a few spiders and tiny fruit. Coloring features include bright yellow underparts, olive upperparts, and reddish brown streaks on the sides.
