Double Mingle Ceremony Unites Hastings Couple in Iowa
Spotlight on the social scene reports the June 5 Hastings wedding of Miss Pegey Jo Hastings and John Charles Phelps at St John’s Lutheran. Officiant Harry Meyer led a ceremony with elaborate decor, music by Gary Perkins and Jon Miller, and a lace gown with a camelot headpiece. The reception for 200 followed in the church parlors with a 40-person rehearsal dinner at Red Oak’s Holiday Inn the prior night. The couple will reside in Malvern. Mrs. Phelps teaches music and Mr. Phelps farms nearby. guests traveled from numerous Iowa towns and several states.
