Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schroeder and Judy left Saturday for Alabama and will visit the Ersal Powles in Interprice. Bertha Rew stayed with her daughter Gertrude West at Griswold, Russell Myers hosted at West home, and Paul Black with family hosted G E Hardisty and Clem Mitchell families at dinner. Alexa Paul W. Black left for Kinross Michigan. Rodney Miller, son of George and a Jennie Edmundson Hospital patient, returned home and reentered after an abscess formed. Edson Tackett’s family visited Glen Bryant while he attends a California reserve camp. Mrs. Ira Uays celebrated her birthday with relatives. Dixie Janauske of Omaha visits grandparents Irvin Huffaker. Glenwood Church class members hosted an ice cream social with 44 attendees.

Rebekahs Visit Hastings Lodge for 30-Year Pins
Twelve members of the Rebekah Lodge traveled to Hastings on Wednesday July 15 to attend the meeting in the TOOF Hall where Mrs Susie Hall and Mrs Grace Hathaway were presented with 30 year pins by their sons Floyd Hall and Joe Hathaway respectively. The Silver City lodge presented the traveling emblem to Hastings. Grand Warden Catheryn Kelly of Council Bluffs also attended. Oto Club meets with Mrs Leonard Burbee hostess
Mrs Leonard Burbee hosted the OTO Club on Thursday July 9 with 10 members and five children present. Roll call was Favorite Dessert or Salad Recipe. New member Mrs Ralph Tackett was welcomed. Afternoon activities included visiting and card games with high score going to Mrs Fay Morrical and low score to Mrs Floyd Gorman. Several social visits followed, including a pink and blue shower for Mrs Bernard Bryant. Additional local visits and a hospital note, plus camp attendance at Lake Ahquabi.
