Pioneer Day at Tabor Picnic in Fremont area
Farmers Merchants Picnic at Tabor July 24 to 28 will set aside Friday for pioneers born in Iowa or who have lived there 50 years or more to register as pioneers. A pioneer king and queen will be named, with honors for Civil War and Spanish American War veterans. Couples 40 years married receive special attention. Oldest native-born citizen of Fremont Page and Mills counties will be ribboned. Registration opens 10 a m Friday at the park bandstand. program starts 2 p m with tours and loudspeaker coverage. Local communities urged to invite pioneers for a day of fellowship.
