Higher Prices for Consumer in 1967

Consumer expert Richard M. McClure predicts 1967 will see higher food costs, especially beef milk and cereals, but lower prices in pork poultry and citrus. Clothing costs rise due to labor and production costs. some men’s suits and select shoes may increase by spring. Hard goods may rise with copper, aluminum, steel, and wood costs while soft furnishings hold or fall. Consumers should become better informed and buy selectively at extension office leaflets.
