Treynor Post Office Reforms Hit Local Service
Treynor Post Office faces cuts as Postal Service changes shrink clerical staff. From March 18 thirty six third class offices lose most clerical help, with reductions for other classes and altered mail distribution. Residents may wait longer for stamps and mail, with service windows consolidated and hours reduced. The piece notes longtime postmaster and local editor Emmett Butler voicing concern over unfair shifts to larger facilities. Evel Knievel also features in a brief oddity.
