Four Vehicle Crashes Reported in County
Sheriff Edwin Barkus notes four recent motor vehicle accidents in Glenwood area. Stephan Graber lost control on a gravel curve northeast of Glenwood at 11:30 a.m. Friday, car overturned into a ditch causing about 600 dollars in damage. A collision on Highway 34-275 two miles east of Glenwood at 10 a.m. Sunday involved Don Bruce Hastings and Patricia Ford Malvern. Bruce received a neck injury and was taken home after the rear impact by Ford. Dorothy Childs of Glenwood hit a parked pickup belonging to Wayne Wolverson of Des Moines in Silver City Sunday at 60 p.m., injuring her back and stomach and she was taken home. Albert Harris of Glenwood overturned on a gravel road east of Glenwood at 12:30 a.m. Sunday, suffering head and facial injuries.

Mrs. Ethel Kayton aged 84 died Tuesday in Shenandoah after a long illness. She was mother to Charles Kayton of the Strahan community. Funeral services were held Thursday at 10 30 a m at the Strahan United Methodist Church conducted by Rev Clarance Woollard with burial in the local cemetery.
