Malvern 39ers celebrated April birthdays on April 19 at the Community building with 26 members present. Bertha Angus Jerusha Archer Ruth Kelley Marjorie Jones Gladys Pace and Hilda Schroeder sat at the birthday table. Hostesses were Leota Sutton Dorothy Churchman Janie Menschel and Fidel Shafer. An enjoyable afternoon was spent playing cards and guessing games. Next potluck dinner is Tuesday May 3.

Legion Auxiliary Held Busy Meeting April 21

Malvern Harry Hammons Unit 520 met at the Malvern Village Lounge on April 21 at 9 30 with Lorraine Lamm as hostess. Zylphia Blackburn presided in president Mae Trebinsons absence. February minutes were read and the March 13 Community building meeting was not recorded due to no secretary present. A bake sale report was given.

Professional Affairs Topic for Beta Beta Chapter Meeting

Delta Kappa Gamma Beta Beta chapter met Wednesday in Tabor at Anne Fulton's home with 17 members present. Lois Whitson presided. Mary Jane Shaw and Josephine Cowden presented Commit ment to Professional Affairs. Next meeting is a no host breakfast June 1 at Tat Corn Motel Shenandoah. Attendees from Malvern include Elya Hoover Cleta Salyers Vera Cronkite Kathryn Ford. Anne Fulton, Corresponding Secretary. Veterans of World War I will not meet in May due to the 7th District meeting in Sidney on May 1.

Shriners Circus Visit Delights Malvern Children

Residents praise the Shriners circus in Omaha where kids enjoyed a happy outing. Riders and drivers helped transport everyone while staff handed out popcorn and treats. Don Harris returned home amid cheers from the group.
