Mr and Mrs Marlin Sell and Charles were Sunday afternoon visitors of Mr and Mrs Roy Schade.

Hillsdale Church Easter Activities and Community Notes

Sunday School and worship services at Hillsdale Church were followed by a Sunday School class Easter egg hunt and a boys versus girls attendance contest ending with a party at the church. A wide array of local dinners, visits, and community events fill the weekend, including church events, neighborly gatherings, and family celebrations across Glenwood area towns.

Imogens Items Willing Workers Club Meeting and Easter Visits

Imogens local notes report the Willing Workers Club meeting held Thursday with 11 members and three guests. After the business hour, games were played and refreshments served. Easter visitors included families from Red Oak Omaha Coin and Maryville, with many relatives seen at events and at Melton nursing home. Farmers report dry fields and hopes for rain as sowing continues.

Easter Sunday Attends St Patricks High Mass At 8 a.m

The Sunday services at St Patricks church drew many visitors from outside the town for an 8 a.m high mass. Good Friday led to Friday afternoon school dismissal. Miss Ruth Ryan from Cedar Falls returned home with her father and brother for Easter. Delbert Kammon and sons visited Willard Kammon’s family near Shenandoah Saturday. A display of small white rabbits on Easter themes drew attention at the post office windows Sunday morning.

Omaha adds to its lead with Monday run as trade shows mixed trends. Fed heifers steady, slaughter steers and yearlings mostly steady to down 25c, cows steady to weak, stocker and feeder trade softish.
