Services Held Saturday For Jamison Child
Funeral services for Michael George Jamison infant son of Mr and Mrs George Jamison of La Marque were held Saturday December 14 at 10 am in Mainland Funeral Home Chapel. The infant died December 12 at Galveston County Memorial Hospital. Survivors include parents four brothers and three sisters and grandparents. Burial in Mainland Memorial Cemetery.

Simms Youth Chorus Presents Christmas Pageant for PTA

Minamart Drive In Grocery Opens in La Marque
Joe Scheiner of 610 Grundon manages the new Minamart Drive In Grocery at 1532 Bayou with Donald Edinburg as assistant. The La Marque store in a renovated corner of Bayou and Magnolia replaces Mac's Grocery and plans a January grand opening. Scheiner also coaches the Amoco Yankees Little League team and the Minamart chain's main office is in Houston.
