Gale Osborn, six teen son of Mr and Mrs Ed Osborn, Bethel township, remained unconscious at Holmes hospital after an injury supposedly from an auto strike while riding his horse near Tom Griswold’s farm. Doctors later narrowed a skull fracture, noting a brain hemorrhage but predicting recovery.

Chicago September 14. John Grunau leader of the striking switchmen engigemen and yardmen says the walkout in the Chicago yards has ended. A last night meeting showed the majority favoring return to former positions.
Mrs. Tina Johnson of Industry returned home this morning from Newkirk Oklahoma where she visited relatives and stayed with family members.
Macomb plans a permanent sports body named the Macomb Athletic Association with a capital of at least 1000 dollars and stock at 10 dollars per share. EF S Slusher named general manager and a five member board appointed to run the venture.
New York Sept 14 United States Senator Hitchcock of Nebraska told Arkwright club Cox would exercise presidential powers as Wilson Roosevelt Cleveland Lincoln and other strong men did while Harding would rule under a senate oligarchy. He said the Democratic program seeks direct appeal to the people on current issues without party regard.

In Maine the Republican ticket led by Governor-elect Frederick Parkhurst of Bangor won decisively. Parkhurst topped Democrat B G McIntyre of Norway by about 65 000 votes as total statewide turnout exceeded all prior records. Senator Harding sent congratulatory cable praising the victory.
The annual rummage sale for the Episcopal church will be held this Saturday in the church basement from 1 to 9 pm. Generous contributions promise many valuable items for buyers.
