Hiden Bo Rainess Woshipful Master of Golden Gate Lodge Prairie City was named District Grand Master for the district at the Illinois Grand Lodge session in Chicago. The appointment honors Mr James and the local lodge, which he led over the past year as membership grew and harmony prevailed.

A Halloween social by the Love and Service class is set for Friday at 6 00 p m with all members and friends urged to attend.
Deputy District Supervisor Weiss has organized a new Moose lodge in Astoria with strong early support. The charter will be submitted to the grand lodge next Saturday and installation is anticipated the week of November 8. The project is backed by Startler Want Ada’s pay and local supporters.
James William Rexroat aged 21 of Emmet Township shot himself with a 12 gauge shotgun near his home. The inquest found no light on motive as witnesses weathered no signs of distress before the tragedy. The body was found by Kyle Clary and family members, with Coroner Russler later taking charge.
