Mrs Enna Ferrill of Macomb was elected president of the Fourteenth district Woman's Relief Corps at the annual convention held Wednesday at the Rock Island courthouse succeeding Mrs Frances Siemon of Rock Island. Mrs Nattie Cox of Moline was elected senior vice president. About 200 attended including 75 delegates from several towns. the afternoon featured the local W R C inspection and a hosted luncheon with flags and flowers.

About 600 spectators watched the Major Hainline farm well in Sciota township be shot with eighty quarts of nitroglycerine.
