Macomb High School Holds Class of 21 Graduation Ceremony
The Macomb graduation featured Dr. Matheney delivering a wide ranging address urging pursuit of education. Principal J. I embers announced the graduates as Evelyn Wyne and others received diplomas, with a ceremonial march and acknowledgments from Rev. John Barelay and school officials.

Many Hurt In Bad Accident In Lewistown Area
A truck carrying riders to Depler's Springs plunged down Shawver hill at 60 mph, rolled over multiple times, and left several seriously injured. Victims include Elmer McKinley F. M. Crabtree Frank Virden Henry Prickett and others. Driver Henry Prickett cited transmission brake failure as cause. Injured rushed to Lewistown. county physicians treated them.

Four high school pupils die in crash
An automobile carrying six high school students returning from a school dance slid down a hillside and was struck by a westbound Burlington train near Aurora. Three boys and one girl died instantly while the driver was hurt and another girl had light scratches. The train crew were Engineer Johnson and Conductor Rippert of Galesburg.

Lightning kills prominent farmer in barn blaze
Nerman Holeman a leading farmer in Warren county was instantly killed by a lightning strike in his barn yesterday afternoon. A 14 year old helper, Moulton Cox, saw the strike ignite the blaze, and he pulled Holeman from the burning structure as the barn and its contents burned to ashes.

A military casualty who died of wounds will be buried Saturday. Services will be held at a local cemetery with military honors.
Service Member Henry Stoneking Laid to Rest in Bethel Township
Henry Calvin Stoneking of Bethel township died September 19 1918 after a brief hospital stay in France. He served less than three months before being killed in action and was returned to Macomb where funeral services will be held at Mt Zion church with the Macomb American Legion in charge. He was 23 years old and survived by his parents and several siblings.
