Late Mrs. Lucinda Hale of Good Hope leaves an estate valued around 315000 to widow Barbara Snapp and their ten children with a complex division of real and personal property across townships and sections. Executors rearrange lands including 100 acres in Walnut Grove and 80 acre parcels. proceeds support widows and heirs per will dated 1907 with J.D. Meade and Tabula Decker witnessing.

The renowned author and orator William J. Johnson of St. Paul will visit Macomb Thursday and Friday as guest of the Presbyterian Brotherhood. He speaks Thursday at 3:30 p.m. on Lincoln the Christian at the high school, 7:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian on The Moral Welfare of America, Friday 9:40 a.m. at the Normal school on Abraham Lincoln, and noon Friday to the Rotary Club at the Pace hotel on The Community Power House. Admission is free for all events.

Despite cold weather a large crowd attended Kehoe and Davis carnival at the fair grounds. The show runs all week with portions of receipts donated to the Macomb fire department. The company touts an exceptional season with a family troupe, a fire eater, glass dancer, and new features in the lions show. The athletic show includes wrestlers and the midway offers ferris wheel aeroplane swing and a spruced up merrygoround. Drainage is good and no mud inconveniences reported.

Farm Family Beaten and Robbed Near Tropedale
