Bushnell Crash Involving Auto Truck Strikes Players

Sunday morning a horse driven by Ezra Emil of near Bushnell ran away after being passed by an auto truck owned by Ogle Furniture Co of Galesburg. The buggy was damaged and occupants were thrown out but none seriously hurt. The truck carried baseball players from Galesburg through Bushnell. the horse owner has hired an attorney and the company plans a settlement with insurance coverage.

Chancellor declines 10 stop prize fights

Jersey City June 28 Vice Chancellor Stevenson declined to act on a motion by the International Reform Bureau seeking a show cause order to restrain Promoter Tex Rickard from staging the Dempsey Carpentier fight. He allowed bureau representatives to apply to another vice chancellor. Stevenson said he was leaving town today and could not hear the arguments.

London June 22 Associated Press reports the British coal mines price dispute that began April 1 has been settled in a conference. An official announcement stated the matter is resolved and a settlement agreed upon.

Chicago reports a large vote against an eight percent wage cut for rail shop employees as labor leaders dispute the tallies.
