Driver Escapes Injury When Tractor Falls From Bridge

J W Derry of near Adair escaped serious injury when the county owned Austin Western road tractor fell ten feet into Grindstone Creek as a bridge superstructure gave way. The incident occurred near the John Payne farm about twenty miles southwest of the city. The tractor suffered about 20 dollars in damage and was recovered with blocks and tackle by Robert Murphy of this city. Derry received a cut on his arm but no serious harm.
