State agents raided the firm’s warehouse weeks earlier seizing alcohol and patent medicines said to contain alcohol. The alcohol will be turned over to state hospitals.

New York January 6 Lawrence Nalawista an agent for the National Security Co was arrested at the Broadway office by secret service men on charges of offering government agents bribes exceeding 100000 for help with liquor permit frauds.

Domestic questions likely including the former relief measure will be considered at the conferences. Albert J Beveridge former Indiana senator and leader of the Roosevelt progressive party in 1912 also on the president elect engagement list.
In Ashland Wisconsin on January 6 John Smith a 69 year old recluse sought shelter at the county poor farm but could not bring his dog. Late yesterday Smith was found dead in a shack with the dog also deceased and a pistol still in his hand.
Rumors that the Bank of Corensv in Lexington had excess tobacco notes caused a large crowd to gather. Depositors rushed to withdraw money as tellers paid out funds, with hundreds present and a chaotic scene reported by Associated Press.

Edward Morris alias Foster is a suspected killer and jewelry store thief in Chicago with a $250 reward posted by Chief Fitzmorris. He is believed to have shot Patrolman John Mullen at a local resort and fled after the crime. Police carry Morris’s picture in pockets of officers nationwide.
