He climbed a ladder and leaped from a beam, life believed ended within half an hour. He leaves a wife a stepdaughter and a daughter in Chicago.
The Vermont Public Utilities Commission authorized higher rates. Business phones rise from 21 to 27 dollars per year and residence lines from 15 to 21 dollars. California university football team, Pacific Coast champions, defeated Ohio State 28 to 0 on New Year day. The westerners showed clear superiority in forward passing and in straight football, asserting their conference supremacy for 1920.

The C I P S rate case hearing in Springfield was postponed to February 1 per notices to Mayor Flack and City Attorney Switzer. The delay follows wishes of municipal lawyers from Macomb and other towns at last week’s session, briefly extending the temporary rate hike.

Springfield Jan 3 Release by Homer Tice of Greenview a Republican pledge holder indicated the nomination of G A Dahlberg of Chicago. Tice withdrawal leaves three dry leaders in the race with Dahlberg Holaday and Watson. Dahlberg claims 27 Chicago votes. Watson stays in race to avoid deadlock as others plan caucus notes. The Anti Saloon League stays neutral while urging a dry speaker and higher enforcement funding.
