A good crowd attended the Purdy and Conwell sale of Big Type Poland Chinas at Bushnell sales pavilion. Thirty nine head averaged 4 dollars with a top price of 120 dollars for a gilt sired by Minute Man. Two labor gifts sold for 99 and 100 dollars. The final two pedigrees were granddaughters of Clansman of Illinois Dance. A Valentine dance is planned next Tuesday at Jolly's hall with Campbell's orchestra and other features.

Odd Fellows Hold Large Bardolph Meeting

The regular monthly county meeting of Odd Fellows at Bardolph drew about 240 members who enjoyed a supper served by the Rebekahs. Initiatory work occurred in Bardolph High School gymnasium as the crowd filled the large space. The menu included chicken pie mashed potatoes gravy pickles cheese coffee and cream cake.
