Police seek the return of a missing boy in Macomb as investigators probe a mystery surrounding his disappearance. Local authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Macomb Police Department.
Clarence Price 17 of Macomb left his home after 1115 pm last Sunday after saying he would return. Family and friends report no contact since and request help locating him. Stores and locals note Yuletide shoppers as officers seek clues to his whereabouts.
The first Presbyterian church hosted a men’s rally with 12 men present all eyes on the address by Dr. Ezra Allen Van Nuys of Chicago on A Sick World and Its Cure. Delegations gathered from Kirkwood Prairie City Good Hope Bushnell Barldolph Ebenezer Camp Creek Augusta West Prairie Huntsville and Golden. The event featured a Presbyterian male quartet Evelyn Wyne’s Messiah piece and a social hour with ice cream and cake.
The northern potato shipment for McDonough and seven neighboring counties including Mercer Henderson Warren Knox Adams Elark and Brown has been fully sold. A total of 80 000 bushels were disposed of across 20 cars with 13 300 bushels from McDonough alone.

Mr and Mrs Fred Knoedler of two miles south of Tennessee are the parents of a son born December 3. The infant weighs and measures are not listed. The announcement notes the child’s name as Bobby Lewis and credits A P News as the source.
The Treasury fixed the net wartime cost at 24 010 000 000 dollars covering April 6 1917 to June 30 last subtracting foreign loans and normal time excess. Peace costs total 1 661 191 09 for December 1 1918 to December 4 1920 with subtractions for prepayments and exchange gains. Abingdon announces the Hedding Academy will close at year end after a unanimous board vote. The academy long part of the local college, has been prosperous and scholastically strong, with many students. The change aims to focus resources on developing the college.
Thomas Wilcox III, longtime resident, was admitted to Phelps Hospital yesterday for treatment. Exhaustion due to advanced age is listed as the chief ailment. He was seriously ill yesterday but is somewhat better today.
Mr and Mrs Howard Ginger ich of Chalmers township welcome a son born November 30. Mr and Mrs Hugh Doran of West McDonough street announce a daughter born last Friday.
The estate of the late Jos. McFadden who died November 26 at his Macomb township home leaves all to his widow Caroline for life. Real estate valued at $20,000 and personal property at $1,500. After her death son Henry Everett McFadden receives $4,000 and the remainder is divided among Olive Lavona Little Holmes Livingston McFadden and the survivor. Will dated September 24, 1913 witnessed by T. H. Miller and Wallace A. Walker.

In Paris the Greek government asks former King Constantine to abdicate. New York declares lockouts by six cloth firms affecting 16 000 workers. Marion Ohio notes Harding's arrival home after a delayed Washington trip. Ohio Governor Cox offers cooperation to appoint Willis to Harding's unexpired Senate term.

A three day Household Science meeting opens at Union National Bank with large attendance. Exhibits include corn apples and other farm products with more than sixty exhibitors. Speakers from Illinois Agricultural Experiment Station and local officials cover corn root rot hog farm management calf and pig club work.
J. M. Randolph named chancellor commander and Fred Bostick vice commander led a list of elected officers for the coming year at the Knights of Pythias meeting on Monday night. Other positions filled include H. H. Harris prelate Lloyd Russell master at arms Ben Mansfield inner guard Fred Ralston keeper of seals and records C. I. Imes master of finance Robert Massey trustee and William Stump outer guard.
Rost and Parsons were awarded the contract for decorating the dance hall and assembly room of the Commercial Association at the regular meeting of the directors last night. The contract for hall and office decorations was awarded to Leander and Son.
