Fire Causes $250 Loss At East Pierce Home
Sparks from a chimney set fire to the roof of Jud Blivens residence on East Pierce street about 8:00 PM Monday. The blaze damaged contents including clothing and an organ before the fire department extinguished it. the home is owned by Geo Graves and insured.

Arrested Again for Neglect of Children
Henry Boon Jones of Colchester is jailed on neglect charges after being arrested Sunday in Birmingham by Deputy Sheriff J E Wilson. Bondsmen John Myers Arthur Scott and John Bilderback posted $500. Jones had failed to comply with Judge Innes order to support his children. deputies pursued him at Raritan last week.

Unidentified Woman Found on Island in Mississippi River
In Clinton Iowa on December 5 a shallow grave on an island opposite Thompson Illinois yielded a 25 year old woman's body. Hunters Samuel Jacobs and Hunter Mitshell Itwa Fulton Illinois found the mound shaped grave and alerted authorities in Carroll County. The body was fully clothed with no identification marks.

London and Dublin report a historic accord between England and Ireland on an Irish settlement. Collision on South Lafayette Injures No One
A Ford touring car driven by Frank Pierce of Astoria collided with Fred Spicer’s Ford sedan parked in front of his residence on South Lafayette street last evening. Little damage resulted. The Pierce car was reportedly running without lights and the driver agreed to pay any damage.
