In Downtown Macomb a man collapsed at home after noon. A physician, Dr. Ter Russell, arrived but he had suffered a heart attack and died near the kitchen as family members and neighbors responded immediately. The event occurred around 2:00 PM in a residence on South Ran ly.

Standard Bearer Boys and Girls Meet at Church Pot Luck

Relatives Question Fate of McCluskey Remains

Authorities in Quincy report relatives of Joe McCluskey, who killed himself and wife in Galesburg, do not plan the burial. If no brother from Edina, Missouri, claims the body, Knox county will oversee the burial. Mrs McCluskey is en route to Council Bluffs, Iowa, for burial, with brother Mr Cawden.

Industry man Ed Burnham suffers stroke in Grand Rapids

Ed Burnham of the Industry vicinity was stricken with apoplexy in Grand Rapids Michigan last Sunday night. He had convulsions and was hospitalized with consciousness returning Monday. His condition improved with doctors treating him at a top hospital and within reach of better prospects for recovery.

Arrest in Coal Theft Case Faces January Grand Jury

Geo Wilmot of this city was arrested after a Chicago detective traced a coal theft ring in freight yards. He pled not guilty at arraignment in Justice Falkenthal’s court and was released on $500 bond. Accused of stealing 25 bushels near the east sewer pipe factory, the larceny charge carries a jail term and fine if convicted.
