In Downtown Macomb a man collapsed at home after noon. A physician, Dr. Ter Russell, arrived but he had suffered a heart attack and died near the kitchen as family members and neighbors responded immediately. The event occurred around 2:00 PM in a residence on South Ran ly.
Partial AP copy reports a homicide investigation in Chicago involving a young girl and a man named Ralph Tenzis. The fragmentary text mentions a dismembered finding at a home, a slit throat, and unclear nearby newspaper references.

The dinner club later met with Mr and Mrs Otto Dunbar on East Washington street for an enjoyable evening.
The Standard Bearer group met with Supt Mrs Shores for a pot luck supper and brief business session. The program featured prayers, readings, and talks on Hinduism and Mohammedanism. A new advertising chair Geraldine Bly and poster chair Geneva King were elected as the group plans a January membership contest with a banquet for winners.
The missionary society of the Baptist church will meet Friday afternoon December 2 at Mrs. Harry Elting’s home on Chandler boulevard. All members urged to attend for officer elections. The fifteenth annual memorial services for the Elks announced for December 4 at 2 30 pm in the city rooms. Rev A J Cole of the Christian church to deliver the memorial address. Officers to conduct opening exercises with musical numbers by the Martin male quartet and the Campbell orchestra. No deaths in Macomb lodge in two years.
Authorities in Quincy report relatives of Joe McCluskey, who killed himself and wife in Galesburg, do not plan the burial. If no brother from Edina, Missouri, claims the body, Knox county will oversee the burial. Mrs McCluskey is en route to Council Bluffs, Iowa, for burial, with brother Mr Cawden.
Ed Burnham of the Industry vicinity was stricken with apoplexy in Grand Rapids Michigan last Sunday night. He had convulsions and was hospitalized with consciousness returning Monday. His condition improved with doctors treating him at a top hospital and within reach of better prospects for recovery.
Merl Horney and Ethel Andrews wed at M. B. church in Monmouth on a Wednesday afternoon. After a two week honeymoon in Nebraska they will live with Horney's mother in Littleton township. Tom Greer and Ruth Evans also announced wedlock at Lyons Kansas with Rev. Cross performing the ceremony. Greer Radiator Works manager Tom Greer is linked to the Greer brothers business. Ruth Evans is the daughter of William and Mrs. Evans.
Galesburg Illinois reports five jurors accepted by prosecutors and defense in the Tyler murder trial in Knox County Circuit Court. Defendants Earl Veal George Crist John Thompson Alvin DeBelle and George Thompson appeared at 9 am. jurors seemed in good spirits after the first day of voir dire.
Twenty five years ago today December 1 residents recalled good ice on Kill Jordan Creek. The note marks the twenty fifth birthday of George Greer of 518 East Washington whose relatives remember the day vividly.
High school football players are being hosted and dine hosted events. Superintendent Iler hosted an oyster stew in the domestic science rooms with principal Freshwater and attorney Kerman among those attending. Tonight a chicken supper at Clarence Bolen's home is planned.

Judge William Prentiss will establish residence in Macomb and open a law office in the P. E. Elting suite on the south side of the square above Stoker jewelry. He reenters McDonough county practice after years in Chicago, returning home to serve old friends.
The U S Railroad Labor Board issued new working rules estimated to reduce annual payrolls by 50 million dollars for railroads. The announcement follows today and is noted in Chicago dispatches.
Governor Small releases two letters from Judge Jenkins amid rumors of bribery and public welfare concerns. The letters claim a grand jury corruption attempt and accuse Evans and allies of trading information for jobs. Jenkins calls the bribery tale a lie in a conspiracy long planned.
Geo Wilmot of this city was arrested after a Chicago detective traced a coal theft ring in freight yards. He pled not guilty at arraignment in Justice Falkenthal’s court and was released on $500 bond. Accused of stealing 25 bushels near the east sewer pipe factory, the larceny charge carries a jail term and fine if convicted.
