Judge Hillyer Named to Bar Reception Committee

Judge George Hillyer of Bushnell is named by the Illinois Bar Association executive committee as a member of the reception committee for the Chicago meeting on Saturday December 10. World famous men will speak at the bar association gatherings. In court, Geo A Reed of Prairie City was declared feeble minded and J W Wilson appointed conservator to care for him at home. Reed is about 80 and quite frail.

Auto accident injures three Colchester youths

A 5:45 PM Tuesday crash near Colchester injured Matt Roberson, Ivan McCullough, and Chas Coghill. Roberson suffered a broken arm, Coghill a facial cut and head bruises, McCullough a crushed foot. The car, owned by McCullough, rolled after hitting a chuck hole at about 25 mph. Roberson received X rays and all were able to move about after treatment.

Havana Lad Died From Nosebleed and Overexertion

Frederick Robert Robertson, eight, son of Seth A. and Mrs. Robertson of Havana, Illinois, died in Peoria on November 30 after a nosebleed led to internal hemorrhage. Three physicians could not halt the bleeding as his father held vigil near the bedside.
