A Toledo, Peoria & Western train struck an automobile near La Harpe Illinois killing five people three women and two men. The victims are Mr and Mrs J A Miller Bettendorf Ia Mr and Mrs Frank S Ege Auburn Ill Mrs William Blaine Auburn Ill. The party was returning from a trip to Keokuk Iowa when the crash occurred. The bodies were taken to the McClure undertaking establishment for an inquest to be held that evening.
