Murderer Cardinella Faints Before Hangman in Chicago

Sam Cardinella the gang leader, and Joseph Costanzo with Salvatora Ferrera, convicted of murder, were hanged in Chicago. Cardinella fainted twice en route to the platform delaying the other two executions by about 20 minutes. Ferrera spoke briefly in Italian. Costanzo showed little emotion.
