Harry Danley of Keokuk drew an indeterminate penitentiary term up to 14 years in a Carthage court after being arrested Monday for allegedly part of a Warsaw store robbery gang. He was transferred to Carthage by Hancock County Sheriff, with the other three gang members already jailed.
The Daily Graphic reports the Triple Alliance plans a national strike starting Friday night to support striking miners, with 8 million extra job losses forecast if the strike lasts three weeks and census data may be delayed. The Federation of General Workers backs the action.

Melissa Texas Apr 14 residents mobilize to provide relief for those rendered homeless by yesterday’s tornado and storm. Eight people died and many injured in the disaster prompting communal aid efforts.
Chicago April 14 The International Harvester Co announced a ten percent price cut on products whose main material is steel, effective next year. Earlier reductions of ten to fifteen percent were declared for machines built largely from wood, sand and iron.
A Scotch collie in Duluth Minnesota stands daily at a street corner and leaps at trolley wires grabbing the pole rope. The dog aims to stop the car after its companion was killed by a street car. Attempts to deter him failed and the animal may be shot.

In Washington on April 14 Senator Pomerene of Ohio urged ratification of the Colombian treaty as a matter of justice to Colombia. He argued the Roosevelt era actions were indefensible and lamented our intervention that helped shape Panama’s independence. Senator Kellogg leads opposition with quotes portraying Colombian demands as blackmail.
The estate of Eliza beth Baldridge valued at about 10 000 dollars includes real estate and Macomb city property. She died April 6 at Phelps hospital and left her sister Lucy M Smith and husband J C Smith as executors and beneficiaries. The will, made in February, was witnessed by T N Downing and T H McMillan and filed for probate.
Rushville Indiana April 18. The first major robbery in years hit John Bartons clothing store Monday night. About $400 in merchandise was taken between 11 and 12 oclock. Officials say professionals used an automobile to flee.
Dublin April 14. Sir Arthur Edwards Vicars former Ulster King of Arms was shot dead at Liscowel and his residence was burned. The gun attack followed by a fire destroyed his home. Authorities investigate motive and suspects in the incident.
