Legion Branch Hosts Annual Meeting and Election

North Norfolk and District Legion branch schedules its annual officer elections next Tuesday as attendance rebounds after a lull. A chicken supper program and dance are set for November 22 at Memorial Hall, with invitations mailed to ex-service personnel and reminders to attend monthly meetings first Tuesday.

Joint Remembrance Service Planned for November 12

A joint Remembrance Day and Church Service will be held on Sunday November 12 at Memorial Hall at 1 30 pm. Ex service personnel and others who wish to decorate the monument are asked to meet at the hall at 7 pm to march to the cenotaph for a short service and wreath placing before returning to the hall for the joint service.

Mrs Cairns remains in Gladstone Hospital improving. Mr and Mrs Les Fox and Sam attended Hamuta for Miss Foxtons wedding. Public Asked To Attend Hockey Meet

The MacGregor Hockey Club calls district residents to attend an annual meeting at the rink on Monday at 8 pm. Officers will be elected for the 1980 81 season and a discussion will consider sustaining an intermediate team, aiming to match last year’s calibre. The High School girls sewing club met October 4 and split into Juniors and Teenagers naming The Thimble Tumblers. They planned a quilt project and sought school board help for equipment, which was granted a generous sum.
