Lynden Creamery reports 1917 gains despite lean year
The Lynden Cooperative Creamery Company published its 1917 report showing a $1,000 resources increase to $19,714.60 while gross sales fell by $30,000 to $292,655.93. Creamery activity included 649,702 pounds of butter burned and 2,203,025 pounds of cream handled. farmers received 48.5 cents per pound of butter fat, up from 35.85 cents in 1916. Peter Schuyleman was elected vice president, with Nels Jacobson as president and other officers re-elected.
