Fireman's Comedy Proves Big Success in County Towns
Lynden Volunteer Fire Department fund gained 154.35 net from the New Year's Eve performance of Down East by home talent. On March 1 Ben Ambrosius will resign as buttermaker at the Lynden Creamery after eight years to devote full time to poultry raising. George Leek succeeds him. Supreme Court allows installment payments for county road work
The Supreme Court ruled that Whatcom County road pavements may be paid in installments rather than lump sums. The decision prevents delays to proposed improvements and eases hardship on property owners along existing works. Lynden Records Big Lead in Seal Sale
Lynden surpassed its quota in the Tuberculosis Christmas Seal Sale by over 100 percent while other county towns failed to dispose of their full allotments. Mrs. W. W. Ballaine praised Lynden and campaign leaders Mrs. P. M. Serrurier and Mrs. George Waples for the standout effort. Lynden sold $171.45 in stamps and an additional $100 through city schools as part of the county total.

Lynden Creamery Company directors ordered a new 1000 pound capacity churn to be installed in a month for the spring rush. One old churn will stay in use and a second kept in reserve. An electrically driven tester was also ordered.
