Lynden Teams Sweep Meridian for Three Victories
Lynden sent three teams to Meridian last Friday and swept three basketball contests. The first team won 26 to 22 with Clarence Lacey hitting 11 of 13 free throws. Lynden second team ran out 12 to 7 as Lynden girls triumphed 23 to 9. Lynden also beat Sumas 34 to 8 in Lynden gym.

Lynden farmers will form a Lynden Farm Bureau on Wednesday night at the high school. A program for dairy ing poultry raising and home economies was outlined. Conrad Axling presided and H B Carroll Jr county agent discussed the bureau. Many plan to attend the county Farm Bureau meeting in Bellingham Friday at 10 a m with lunch at noon.

Funeral services for Mrs Dennis Buckley held at Northwood Grange
A large crowd gathered at Northwood Grange Hall on Wednesday for the funeral of Mrs Dennis Buckley who died Sunday at Sumas hospital. Rev J E Kanarr led the service with Behold I Stand at the Door and Knock. The Wisconsin born mother of ten was survived by her husband, ten children, parents, siblings, and a Northwood sister. Interment followed at Lakeside cemetery.
